Near Spey Dam, the river starts it's long journey to Spey Bay. Above the dam Glenshero is wild and open, a quiet place for reflection. The road becomes a track that crosses through the Monadliath Mountains and eventually to Fort Augustas.

The water cascades over the fall and then disappears underground to flow through the system of potholes in the limestone rocks.
Quite a scramble to get to the waterfalls, a quiet spot.
